What is Swift Forecast?

SwiftForecast is a simple mechanism to obtain forecasts for your time series.
Simply introduce the number that you want to analyse, and the engine will automatically run a large set of forecasting algorithms,
calculate their precision, and select the best one for you.

Check this page for a description of the algorithms used, and a log of the engine evolution.

What are the benifts of using Swift Forecast?

Of course there are plenty of different software packages out there for time series forecast:
R, Matlab, SAS, StatSoft, Weka, just to name a few.

All of them share a common problem:
you need to know exactly what you are doing, i.e. which algorithm you have to run
(depending on the nature of the time series), how to set parameters, how to run validations, etc.
And this, when you don't have to pay to get the software!

Swift Forecast does all this for you.
Multiple algorithms are tested, their statistical significance evaluated, and the best forecast is yielded.
You have therefore just to focus on your application, not on the maths behind.

How should data be introduced?

Series of numbers, separated by commas. An example here:
1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8, 2.3, 2.9, 4.1
